A very, very easy pattern.
Cast on stitches that are multiples of 4, then add 3 to it. I did this on size 7 (U.S. needles) in a worsted weight yarn, and cast on 31 stitches [(4 x 7) + 3 = 31].
EVERY ROW is knit the same way. *K2, p2, * repeat to last 3 stitches, k3.
When blocked it was 5 inches wide and 70-some inches long. Your mileage may vary, depending on the type of yarn you use, how tightly you knit, and the properties of the yarn.
